Attendance
  • You must take at least 4 classes per semester in order to maintain full-time student status.
  • A semester is 15 weeks long. The target end dates for your classes and your Assignment Calendar will reflect this 15-week timeline. You are expected to complete your classes within 15 weeks, with an absolute maximum of 18 weeks.
  • You must log in and work on each class for a minimum of an hour a day, just as you would in a traditional high school setting. For 5-6 classes, this equates to 25-30 hours of schoolwork per 5-day week. Failure to maintain this level of attendance will result in you falling behind and not being able to finish your classes on time.
  • You must demonstrate at least 10 hours of attendance within your first 14 days of enrollment. Failure to do so will result in automatic transfer to Independent Study.
  • Ten or more consecutive days of absence (failure to log in) without any communication or explanation will result in withdrawal from FVHS and failure of current classes.
Course Changes
  • You may drop a class within one week of the start date with no impact on your transcript.
  • You may withdraw from a class within nine weeks of the start date, in which case a “W” will appear on your transcript.
  • Withdrawal from a class after nine weeks from the start date is not permitted.
Academic Dishonesty
  • You are expected to maintain academic honesty at all times. Cheating (including plagiarism from the Internet or any other source) is not tolerated and will result in an automatic zero for the assignment or test
  • Retakes or resubmissions are not allowed on assignments or tests for which cheating/plagiarism was discovered
  • More than two instances of cheating/plagiarism will result in failure and expulsion from FVHS.
